Mathematics, for centuries have alluded and inspired many generations of human existence. It is the subject which is by far the most advanced and continuously evolving attracting awe and ire at the same time. Most of the modern theories of applied science, philosophy and economics derive their basis from the mathematics. This is a subject which has continued to challenge the human mind with its mysteries. Prehistoric man perhaps was the first user of this subject by identifying the need to count. Till Renaissance, the subject of Mathematics never developed beyond its realms. But during this period, the scientific discoveries were combined with innovations of this subject leading to the advancement in the human knowledge.

            In the present era, mathematics has spread its root to various fields like engineering, natural science, social sciences and medicines. The various discoveries of mathematics have found their application to various fields and lead to the development of various new disciplines. The continuing challenges thrown up by this branch has engaged many in the pursuit of pure study of this subject. Various mathematical theorems have found their applications in human lives and have been contributing significantly to the human development.
